In the early 90's, the first computer virus was discovered, the brain virus, that could infect machines, personal computers, with malware that would cloak themselves with familiar images cloned from the systsem's disk, in order to escalate privileges, and even gain entry into the BIOS, in order to cause unconsciousonable harm.
Net neutrality for example, has a lot to do with the ethics, morality, and Constitutionality of the system administrator.

Given the ancient history of the nature in Berkeley, and its proximity to Silicon Valley, there are probably malicious systems & social engineering security vulnerabilities & infections out there.
